This is going to make you mad. On March 15, 2023 the US government finally released a report it has suppressed since May of '22 on the effects of fluoride on our kids. It took a lawsuit to get the results of this 6-year review of dozens and dozens of studies which was funded by the taxpayers.

Here's the conclusion I pulled right off page 467 of the report:

"The consistency of the data supports an inverse association between fluoride exposure and children’s IQ."

That means as fluoride goes up (from drinking water, toothpaste, dental cleanings, etc), IQ goes down in the developing brains of our kids. Now who would want to block access to that information from the public? Oh, probably dentists. There are arguments both ways on fluoride and tooth decay, but nobody expected neurological damage, and withholding information is NEVER, EVER the answer to anything. Shame on those who even consider it.

I think it's finally time to stop putting fluoride in our drinking water. Dentists be damned. People can choose to supplement it with tablets if they want, but they can't really choose not to drink the city water, right? Something like 98% of the western world doesn't drink fluoridated water And there's no outcry that their kids teeth are rotting out of their mouths.

You can filter fluoride out of your drinking water with a reverse osmosis sytem, a distillation system, or an ion exchange type of filtration. Let's help our kids keep their smarts. We worked hard to give that to them!

Just some of the studies showing neurological effects of fluoride on chidren:

2017 Basshash Study: The new study found a very large effect. An increase in urine fluoride of 1 mg/L was associated with a drop in IQ of 5 to 6 points

2019 Green Study: When the researchers measured fluoride exposure by examining the women’s fluid intake, they found lower IQs in both boys and girls: A 1 mg increase per day was associated with a 3.7-point IQ deficit among both genders.

2019 Riddell Study: The study by a research team based at York University, Toronto, followed a large cohort of Canadian mother-child pairs through age 3-4 years and found an average drop of over 4 IQ points for children in fluoridated areas

2019 Till Study: UFSG did not significantly predict ADHD diagnosis or hyperactive/inattentive symptoms. A 1 mg/L increase in tap water fluoride level was associated with a 6.1 times higher odds of an ADHD diagnosis (95% CI = 1.60, 22.8). A significant interaction between age and tap water fluoride level (p = .03) indicated a stronger association between tap water fluoride and hyperactivity/inattention symptoms among older youth. A 1 mg/L increase in water fluoride level was associated with a 1.5 SDQ score increase (95% CI: 0.23, 2.68, p = .02) for youth at the 75th percentile of age (14 years old). Similarly, there was a significant interaction between age and CWF. At the 75th percentile of age (14 years old), those living in a fluoridated region had a 0.7-point higher SDQ score (95% CI = 0.34, 1.06, p < .01) and the predicted odds of an ADHD diagnosis was 2.8 times greater compared with youth in a non-fluoridated region (aOR = 2.84, 95% CI: 1.40, 5.76, p < .01).
